Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of this study was to review the publication of Brazilian studies on health education in primary bronchial asthma in adult and pediatric patients. The review was conducted in the databases BVS, SciELO and PubMed. We used the descriptors “asthma”, “primary”, “health education and asthma”, “health education”, “Brazil” associates. Fourteen articles were obtained, with nine interventions and five observational. These articles were published mainly in SciELO base, between the years 2008 and 2011. It was concluded that Brazilian studies in Health Education about asthma are performed mostly in clinics and university hospitals, requiring more studies that include scenarios of primary health care.
