Fatores preditivos para insatisfação sexual em homens pós-lesão medular traumática

Resumo

Introdução: Além das perdas motoras e sensitivas, o trato urinário e a função sexual são também afetados pela lesão medular, sendo a disfunção sexual um dos problemas mais comuns nestes pacientes e sua gravidade depende do nível e da complexidade da lesão. Essa alteração da função sexual acontece devido às mudanças no processo neurofisiológico, mas este mecanismo e sua associação com a satisfação sexual ainda não estão bem estabelecidos. Objetivo: Analisar a associação entre fatores clínicos e psicossociais e a satisfação sexual em homens pós-lesão medular traumática, bem como fatores preditivos para insatisfação sexual após a lesão. Método: Estudo observacional realizado com 45 homens, com lesão medular traumática e sexualmente ativos. A função sexual foi avaliada pelo Índice Internacional de Função Erétil e o nível e grau da lesão foram determinados seguindo as diretrizes da International Standards for Neurological Examination and Functional Classication of Spinal Cord Injury. Análise bi e multivariada foi aplicada para observar a associação entre fatores, com nível de significância de 0,05. Resultados: 45 indivíduos com tempo de lesão médio em anos 7,5 (IC 5,2 – 9,9) foram avaliados. Frequência de relação sexual mensal é um fator de risco (OR: 11,69; IC 95%: 2,16–63,19) da insatisfação sexual, bem como disfunção orgástica (OR: 10,13; IC 95%: 1,33–77,18). Conclusão: Relações sexuais infrequentes e disfunção orgástica são preditores de insatisfação sexual após lesão medular.
